This books "author" is truly insane and diluted
WoW, this one is how to scare people and admire your self. Truly another completely insane practitioner of the psychiatric cult. It is nothing more than a whole bunch of made up bla bla bla to get you to waste your money. merd cest la merd.

be very afraid
All that needs to be said about this book can be summed up in the attitude of the first reviewer (above). He calls the author a member of the "psychiatric cult" because he criticizes Hubbard and exposes scientology as a paranoid controlling cult. Read this book, and learn as much about cults as you can, ESPECIALLY powerful and TAX-EXEMPT cults such as this one.

I'll comment my own work on the criminal cult scientology
This books speaks of many of the various aspects of scientology and dianetics, from a summary of the very surprising life of the founder Hubbard , to the developments of scientology into a secret-ridden system, full of deaths, crimes of many sorts, including infiltration and burglarizing state depts. Besides, many witnessings are quoted, as well as the international or french situation up-to-date, the weapons used in some bases of the organization, its richness, etc.

The Princess of Cleves

Poor translation
I was reading away happily at the original French version (struggling occasionally over some of the older vocabulary) until I realised I really didn't have enough time (essay due in tomorrow evening), so I quickly nipped round to a friend and borrowed this translation.

And it's not good, people, not good.

While parts of it have travelled quite nicely from French over to English, a lot of it is very badly done - some word for word tranlations and FAR too many repetitions of words. For example, I'm sure I came across 'agitation' three times on one page, and I can tell you I ended up more agitated than Mlle de Chartres ever would be after trying to scrape my way through it.

Needless to say, I'll be allowing more time to read these books beforehand so that I don't have to delve into another poorly translated version again.

Get it in French.

An unusual love story
This book is written in an unusual format, almost at a remove from the main character. This however, only serves to heighten the passion of the doomed lovers. In some ways it reminds me of mme de tourvil in dangerous liaisons. Unable to help herself falling in love. Knowing she was doing the wrong thing, and hurting the people who love her most, but unable to stop.

I really enjoyed this book, and I'm sure I'll read it again one day. Apparently this is the only decent book this author ever wrote, the rest being pretty unreadable. If you want a historical novel written in an historical period itself then try this.

Lovely, lovely, deeply moving book
This is one of my all-time favorite books. The book is quiet, surprising, and lingering. The relationships detailed in intimacy are revealing, and not just the relationship between the lovers. If you have notread this, do so immediately.

A Chronological View of L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology
Published in Paperback by Seagull Productions (01 January, 1995)
Author: Kaj Moos
Average review score:

a grossly one-sided and therefore false picture
Having been a Scientologist for 25 years I can absolutely state that this book paints a very false picture of Scientology.

For example, the Scientologists I know are anything but withdrawn from others or lacking in positive relationships, quite the reverse.

I recommend reading actual Scientology materials to get the intent, flavor and usefulness of the subject.

Scientology once more pinned down
The book from Kaj Moos is not much known, despite the fact thatit's well written, very simple to use, and containing a lot ofinformations on scientology founder, ... .

This presentation by a chronological view of his work is excellent and new, ... .

Hundreds upon hundreds of facts, lots of suits and their results, this is really a fast way to learn almost anything on Scientology.
